A Friendship Gathering ~ Because Friends are the Best Accessories
August is a great time to celebrate the friends in your life. Actually, everyday should be Friendship Day.
If you’re a fashionista, then you’re going to love this table. Our napkins were the inspiration for our table setting, but more on that in a little bit. We found our centerpiece from Pier One and “dressed” it up with faux rhinestones and a zebra print bow. We then added a red boa that we purchased from Party City and wrapped it around the base of our centerpiece to make it pop. Candles and faux pearls were added to balance out the table.
While shopping the craft store, we came across fabric with a fashion theme. On the material were sunglasses, purses, and stiletto shoes in a variety of exotic animal prints. It was very stunning, so we purchased the fabric. We made napkins from the fabric and built our table setting around it. We then added napkin rings that would really make a statement. Can you believe these napkin rings are made from toilet paper rolls? Click the link at the bottom of the post to view the instructions. We placed the napkins on white plates and gold chargers which only cost us a dollar each. We found them at the Dollar Tree store. We then added an elegant black striped placemat that we purchased from Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Beautiful luggage tags were placed at each setting with the guest’s name. We purchased them online, however, we have seen them at Party City.
If you think these pictures are stunning, then you might be stunned to find out they’re simply fabric placed inside the frames! While shopping another craft store, we saw these glamorous dresses on the fabric rack and it just happened to match the material we used for our napkins. Don’t you love it when things come together?
We kept our menu simple. Arugula salad and a variety of flatbread pizzas (Pear and Gorgonzola, Chicken Sausage, and Mediterranean) were served, along with delicious red velvet cupcakes for dessert.
Who can resist red velvet cupcakes topped with chocolate stiletto heels?
