How to Make Easter Bunny Ears from Fabric Napkins
Recently, I was (s)HOPPING THROUGH THE BUNNY TRAIL checking out all the Easter décor at Pier 1, since they were having a sale. While I browsed the store and admired all their beautiful table decorations, I saw these adorable do-it-yourself napkin bunny ears. I thought they were so cute, I was ALL EARS to find out how they made them. I tried to visually guess, but couldn’t. So I took one apart, (shh, don’t tell anyone) and saw how they created it. Yes, I put it back together and considered it practice! I added some items to my EASTER (shopping) BASKET and HOPPED on over to the cash register to pay for my merchandise. Then it was off to lunch for some RABBIT FOOD – a GARDEN salad topped with shredded CARROTS. Back home, I wasted no time putting my bunny ears together and placed them on my table. Now you can do the same, so HOP TO IT…Easter is right around the corner.
Fabric napkin (preferably a sturdy napkin)
1” Napkin rings that will stand upright (you may need two rings per bunny ears)
Using a fabric napkin, fold top and bottom portion of napkin halfway towards the center. Then fold in half with the seam at the bottom. Take the right side and fold it up, then the left side leaving a slight gap between the folds. Pull the top inside corner down into a triangle shape. Roll down in a circular motion to where it meets the middle of the napkin. Repeat on the opposite side. Roll both side down together and twist up to form bunny ears (note – you’ll be looking at the back side, so you’ll need to turn it around to view from the front). Slide the bottom portion into 1-2 napkin rings – do not push all the way through the bottom napkin ring, as you need a flat surface. This is where my napkin varies from the one in the store. Stand upright and shape ears, as needed.
“That’s all folks!”
