Spring Cleaning & A Family Fun Gathering
I am a neat freak. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen the rich and famous living in a messy home, so why should I – yes, I know they have maids. Well, to tell you the truth, the rich and famous have never invited me into their homes. I’ve just admired them from afar…across the room on my television set. Remember Robin Leach and his popular show, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous? I loved that show! How about you? Or maybe my cleaning streak comes from walking through the many model homes I have seen. They’re always so beautiful and…spotless! Regardless, I love a sparkling clean home! Which may explain why I don’t mind cleaning (my home, not yours). Spring is the best time to clean the house and clear out the clutter. So why not turn this into a Spring Cleaning Family Fun Competition.
Each person gets their own mini cleaning pail complete with a delicious lunch, a towel to wipe up any mess, and a DIY personalized sponge (write each person’s name with a thick magic marker).
We kept our lunch menu pretty simple, so that young and old will enjoy. We placed a cute paper plate in the pail along with coordinating napkins and plastic silverware. We wrapped our napkins around the silverware to keep them intact. Then we included a deli sandwich and a small bag of chips. You can tailor the lunch around your families likes, but keep it simple.
To carry out our theme, we filled small spray bottles with Glacier Freeze Gatorade.
CAUTION: Do NOT place any cleaning supplies in or around your food table!
