A Fun Way to Jump Start the New Year
After all the tinsel is put away and you’re ready to start the New Year, here is a great way to Jump Start your goals. Invite your friends over and start the celebration with a light workout.
Walk around the block, do some yoga, or even a mini workout by performing a series of jumping jacks, push-ups and sit ups. You may also try kick boxing or create a light dumbbell routine.
Be sure to have cold water on hand. Place labels with inspirational messages on your water bottles to make it fun and interesting.
Carry out your theme with cute paper goods (we found these adorable plates online).
Serve healthy food and encourage one another to write down and discuss their resolutions for the New Year.
Ask each friend to bring a new motivational book, CD, or DVD that relates to spiritual, fitness, money management, relationships, etc. and place in a basket. Then once everyone has gathered, have each one choose one as a gift. Be sure to have extras on hand in the event someone forgets to bring one.
Along with their gift, be sure everyone leaves with an apple. A reminder to stay healthy in the New Year!
