Before the May flowers begin to bloom, we often get a dose of April showers.  But instead of a gloomy forecast, we’ve brightened things up with our Storm Watch luncheon.  Here you can enjoy a dose of friendship sprinkled with some sunshine.  And if the weather doesn’t permit you to venture beyond your front door, we’ve got a list of Things to do on a Rainy Day (see link below).

We chose a whimsical theme with soft colors for our Storm Watch Luncheon.  We also made sure each guest had a candy filled umbrella.  After all, you don’t want your guests leaving without their umbrellas!

Twister Tea

Makes 8 servings

 

Ingredients

1 pint fresh raspberries

4 cups brewed tea, chilled

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice

Lemon, thinly sliced

 

Place raspberries in blender and puree. Strain into pitcher; add tea, sugar and lemon juice, stir until sugar is dissolved. Chill.  Serve over ice. Garnish with lemon slices twisted around straw.

 

 

Sit back and enjoy some uplifting music.
