Light & Refreshing Broccoli Salad


Whoever said eating your vegetables was dreadful, never tasted our broccoli salad.  This salad is not only good, it’s good for you!



Broccoli Salad

Makes 6 servings



2 cups broccoli florets, chopped

1 cup broccoli stems, sliced thinly into strips

1/3 cup raisins

1/3 cup Craisins®

1/4 c. chopped red onion

8 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled

1/3 c. sunflower seeds



1 cup mayonnaise

3 tablespoons sugar

3 tablespoons vinegar



In a large bowl, combine broccoli, raisins, Craisins®, red onion, bacon and sunflower seeds.  In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar.  Add 1/4 teaspoon sugar or vinegar to make dressing sweeter or tarter to your taste.  Mix dressing well and allow it to stand refrigerated for an hour or so.  Just before serving, stir dressing well and pour over salad ingredients.  Toss to coat and serve.
